Padelino is a tool for running padel nights and sharing live scores. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We try to keep it short and honest.
Who we are
The Padelino mobile app (Google Play package com.app.padelino; App Store name "Americano Padel - Padelino") and the live-score website at padelinoapp.com are published by Hypecent Limited ("we", "us"). If you have questions about this policy, email support@padelinoapp.com.
What we collect
Tournament data you enter
- Player names, match scores, round configuration, and any settings you choose (such as showing initials or hiding the leaderboard).
- Tournaments you create and any scores you record.
Account identifier
- An anonymous Firebase Authentication ID is created automatically so your tournaments can be saved and synced. We do not collect your name, email, password, or phone number.
Technical data
- Standard request information (IP address, device/browser type, timestamps) is processed by our hosting provider (Google Firebase) for routine reliability and security.
- Crash reports and basic usage diagnostics may be collected to help us fix bugs.
- We record what you do in the app, against your anonymous ID: which screens you open, when you see a purchase screen, and which buttons you press. We use it to find the parts of the app that do not work well.
Approximate location, when you share a tournament
Read this before you share. When you turn sharing on, we look up the approximate location of your internet connection (city, region, country, and the coordinates of that city) from your IP address, through the service ipapi.co. This is the city you are connecting from, not the position of your phone. We do not use GPS and the app never asks for location permission.
That approximate location is stored on the public tournament page, so a spectator can see where the night is being played. If you do not want it published, do not turn sharing on. Turning sharing off removes the whole page, and the location with it.
Subscription data
- Padelino Premium is sold through the App Store and through Google Play. We never see your card, your bank details or your billing address. Apple and Google take the payment and keep those details.
- We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat stores an anonymous customer ID, the product you bought, the purchase and renewal dates, the store you bought from, your country, and your trial status. It is not linked to your name or your email.
- If you cancel and you choose to tell us why, we store the reason you picked and any note you typed, against that same anonymous ID. Answering is optional and you can cancel without answering.
- The answers you give in the setup questions when you first open the app are stored against the same anonymous ID, so we can learn who Padelino is for. You can skip every one of those questions.
Advertising attribution
- Padelino shows no ads and runs no advertising SDK. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, so the app does not ask for permission to track.
- On iPhone, if you installed Padelino after tapping an Apple Search Ads result, Apple gives us the campaign and the search keyword that brought you. We use it only to learn which searches lead people to Padelino. Apple never gives us your name or your email with it.
How we use it
- To run the app: save your tournaments, sync them across your devices, compute leaderboards and progress charts.
- To power live sharing: when you choose to share a tournament, the live page reads from the same data so spectators can follow along.
- To improve Padelino: diagnose crashes and understand how features are used in aggregate.
Live links and public sharing
Important: when you share a tournament's live link, anyone with that URL can view it. There is no password and no list of who can see it. Treat the link like any other shareable URL — only send it to people you want to have access.
You can stop sharing at any time from the app. Once sharing is disabled, the live page will show that the tournament is no longer available.
Who we share data with
- Google Firebase hosts the app and stores tournament data on our behalf. Their handling of data is governed by Google's privacy practices.
- RevenueCat records the state of your subscription on our behalf, so that Premium follows you between your devices. Their handling of data is governed by RevenueCat's privacy practices.
- Apple and Google process the payment when you buy Premium, under their own privacy policies.
- ipapi.co turns your IP address into an approximate city when you turn sharing on. We send them the IP address and nothing else.
- We do not sell your data. We do not share data with advertisers.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public.
Data retention
Tournament data stays in your account until you delete it. Anonymous account IDs persist for as long as you keep the app installed. You can delete tournaments from the app, and you can request deletion of all your data by emailing support@padelinoapp.com.
Children
Padelino is not directed at children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Security
We rely on Google Firebase's security infrastructure to store and transmit data. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow common-sense practices and patch promptly when issues are reported.
Your choices
- Delete a tournament from the app to remove its data.
- Disable sharing on a tournament to stop the public link from working.
- Request full data deletion by emailing us.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
